SSE 132kV framework contract 2007-2010

Scottish & Southern Energy (Southern Electric)

3-year framework agreement for the refurbishment of existing 132kV substations. Scope includes electrical & civil design, equipment procurement, installation, commissioning and “principal contractor” under CDM regulations.

Projects completed to date:

  • Chippenham – replace fault throwers with circuit switches (2009)
  • Frome – Replace switchgear (2008-09)
  • Mannington – Line-bay refurb (2008-09)
  • Lychett – Line-bay refurb (2008)
  • Wareham – CB replacement (2009)
  • Toothill – 132kV Tx replacement (2010)

Projects on-going:

  • Wotton Common – CB replacement (2010)
