SSE Renewables (Airtricity) Dromada 70MW (Ph. 1 – 28.5MW) 110kV substation (ROI)

Scope of works included:

  • Project management, electrical design and system studies.
  • Civil & building works
  • Supply and installation of:
    • 110kV AIS switchyard and equipment for ‘tail fed’ connection
    • EirGrid control building incorporating protection, control, indication & telecommunications panels; LV a.c. and d.c auxiliary systems; emergency diesel generator
    • 70MVA grid interface transformer (free issue), neutral earthing resistor, auxiliary ‘house’ transformer and emergency diesel generator
    • IPP control building incorporating 20kV switchboard for WTG feeder collection circuits; protection, control, indication & telecommunications panels; LV a.c. and d.c auxiliary systems.
    • MV, LV and control cabling
    • Substation earthing grid.
    • Substation building services.
  • Testing & Commissioning.
