Embedded quality culture

Powerteam’s employees undergo rigorous training in accordance with our well-established in-house training and development programmes. Employees must achieve authorisation levels in accordance with the highest standards set by the GB and Irish electricity utility industries. Employees will also undertake one or two day induction/authorisation training programmes run by the individual Distribution Network Operators prior to commencing work on their networks.

All staff are directly responsible for the quality of their workmanship and engineering operations. Our supervisors, project managers and engineers perform detailed and regular auditing on all work undertaken.

International quality systems

Powerteam is certificated with ISO 9001:2008 Quality Systems in our design, tendering and project management departments, including equipment calibration.

Powerteam has a proactive internal auditing system for monitoring quality and the ISO 9001:2008 quality system is used within Powerteam as a cross functional tool for continual business process improvement. As all processes are documented, and a high standard of record keeping is maintained, this ensures that all paperwork, decisions and equipment are traceable.

Powerteam is also an Achilles UVDB Verify accredited supplier to the electricity utility industry. The UVDB Verify accreditation process comprises an annual site visit and bi-annual office visits by Achilles auditors.
